"Father's Day" attracted an outstanding international cast & crew to bring this compelling story to life. Producer Toby Richards brought together the same team he worked with on feature films like "Rise of the Footsoldier" and "Doghouse" and director William Gilbey tackled the difficult subject with empathy and sensitivity. Toby and Will wanted to face the uncomfortable questions posed by Rupert Raby's script head on and give the viewer an insight into the mind of a damaged man's descent into his own personal hell.

Together, the team have produced exquisite results which the multiple awards have confirmed.


Toby Richards as Joe
Toby RichardsAward winning actor Toby Richards decided to pursue his interest in the television and film industry after several years as a sucessful businessman. He appeared alongside Craig Fairbrass and Kierston Wareing in Julian Gilbey’s "Rise of the Footsoldier" which is now one of the best selling British independent DVD’s of all time, Jake West's comedy horror "Doghouse" alongside Danny Dyer and BAFTA award winner Noel Clarke and, most recently, Nick Moran's feature "The Kid" with Rupert Friend.

Toby's powerful, haunting performance as broken man Joe earned him the Best Actor award at the Los Angeles Reel Film Festival in December 2009.
Kevin R.McNally as Don
Kevin R McNallyBest known for his role as Johnny Depp's first mate in the Oscar winning 'Pirates Of The Carribean' films, Kevin McNally is one of Britain's highly revered actors.  An artist able to portray a fantastic range of characters from the humurous and much loved pirate Joshamee Gibbs to the British politician Kenneth Clarke in the feature length television drama 'Margaret' (2009).  Kevin frequently collaborates with some of the world's most esteemed and exciting filmmakers and is often included in prestigious ensemble casts for example starring alongside Tom Cruise, Kenneth Brannagh, Tom Wilkinson and Terrence Stamp in 'Valkyrie'; with Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johannson and Charles Dance in Woody Allen's 'Scoop' and with Kevin Kleine in the Golden Globe nominated musical biopic 'De-Lovely'.  Kevin has an impressive television career spanning over 30 years and his credits read as a catalogue of Britain's best loved programmes and memorable dramas from classic 80's 'Doctor Who', 'Shackleton', 'Life On Mars', to the more recent 'Wuthering Heights' with Tom Hardy and the upcoming 'Law & Order'.  Kevin is currently starring alongside Jude Law in the Donmar West End Theatre production of 'Hamlet' directed by Michael Grandage.
Jaime Ryan as Max
Jaime RyanJaime Ryan attends Artemis Studios Performing Arts school part time. He has been acting since he was 7, and has appeared in many commercials and films as well as numerous stage shows.  Christmas 08 saw him take the title role of Tiny Tim in panto in Windsor, and at Christmas he was awarded a scholarship to the Barbara Speake stage school full time from September.

Jamie comes from a large family and has many brothers and sisters - they all share a love for performing arts and compete nationally in gymnastics.
Jaime brings a touching mix of strength and vulnerability to the character of Max and turns in a compelling performance.
Gillian MacGregor as Paula
Gillian MacGregorGillian has appeared in many films and stage productions including Sondheim's "Into the Woods", "Cabaret", "Romeo and Juliet", "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie" and she even played Lucifer in "In the Beginning". The first film she appeared in was the British independent "The Winter Sun is a Lie" which won the Best Feature Film award at the 0110 International Digital Film Festival 2005.  Since then she has appeared in "The Sickhouse" with Gina Phillips, "Three Minute Moments" with Belinda Lang and "The Other Woman". In 2008 Gillian wrote the screenplay for the black comedy action film "Hit Girls" in which she also stars with Rosie Fellner and Joey Ansah. 
Emily Corcoran as Susan
Emily CorcoranMulti award winning actress and filmmaker Emily Corcoran has recently played the lead in the comedy feature film 'Sisterhood', which was shot in London and New Zealand. She has a varied on screen career playing a variety of different roles - from the New Zealand farm girl in 'Sisterhood', the chain smoking Greek receptionist in the feature comedy 'Moussaka and Chips' and the Russian prostitute in the feature film 'Conversations by Twilight'.
Femi Oyeniran as Hoodz
Femi OyeniranFemi played one of the leading roles in Noel Clarke and Menhaj Huda’s award winning movie “Kidulthood” and the sequel “Adulthood”. He has a  Law degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. His T.V appearances include I.T.V’s “Golden Hour” and Channel 4’s “The Ghost Squad”. His theatre debut at the Hackney Empire in a two-hander called “Basic” was critically-acclaimed, with the Evening Standard describing his performance as “firecracker” and The Stage declaring that he has a “fierce stage presence” and is “100% believable”.
Will Gilbey, Director
Will GilbeyWill has spent his entire adult life making films. In Julian’s first feature “Reckoning Day”, he was stunt coordinator and performer, actor and additional cinematographer. Will co-wrote the BAFTA nominated film “Rollin’ with the Nines” and worked as the second unit director. He also co-edited the film. The success of British gangster thriller “Rise of the Footsoldier”, both domestically and worldwide, demonstrated the powerful effect of the brother’s extraordinary partnership. William and Julian recently successfully edited the horror/comedy feature “Doghouse” starring BAFTA winner Noel Clarke, Danny Dyer and Stephen Graham. William also re-edited “Boogie Woogie” starring leading names Gillian Anderson, Heather Graham and Christopher Lee.

Toby Richards, Producer
Toby RichardsToby has worked as a Producer on the hugely popular Rise of the Footsoldier and the forthcoming comedy horror Doghouse, starring Danny Dyer and Noel Clark,to be released in spring 2009 by Sony UK.  He demonstrates a great talent for bringing individuals together to create successful and rewarding collaborations. 

Toby has won the best up and coming producer award for "Father's Day" at the British Independent Film Festival.
Rupert Raby, Writer
Rupert RabyRupert has four completed feature length screenplays ranging from teen drama to the psychological thriller Black Sheep- the script that secured him an agent. Since then,Rupert has turned his hand to writing shorts – enjoying the challenge of creating big ideas in a small format. His first short script, Backroads was filmed in late 2007 with assistance from Wandsworth Film Fund and screened at the Curzon Soho as part of their 2008 showcase. It was recently picked up by the British Council who are helping with festival distribution.  In 2008, Rupert was selected for the Guiding Lights mentorship scheme and has been teamed up with the screenwriter, Peter Straughan (How To Lose Friends and Alienate People, The Men Who Stare at Goats, The Debt).
Ali Asad, Cinematographer
Ali AsadAli is the Director of Photography on a diverse range of films both in Europe and Britain, including the BAFTA nominated Rolling With The Nines, Rise Of The Footsoldier, the soon to be released Doghouse and he has just completed filming on the forthcoming feature Dead Man Running starring 50 Cent and Danny Dyer.
An innovative and creative cinematographer, Ali has a strong working relationship with Will Gilbey – a formula which promises exquisite results for Father’s Day.
Matt Button, Production Designer
Having a brilliant ability to design and construct, Matthew has designed several features including The Defender, Rise Of The Footsoldier, Doghouse and the forthcoming features The Reeds and Dead Man Running starring 50 Cent and Danny Dyer.  He also has formidable experience working in the art department on a wide variety of films including Lara Croft: Tomb Raider starring Angelina Jolie and Jon Voight, Spivs starring Ken Stott and Dominic Monaghan, The Last Drop starring Michael Madsen and Billy Zane, The World is Not Enough starring Pierce Brosnan as Bond, the horror feature The Sick House, The Riddle starring Derek Jacobi, Vanessa Redgrave, and Jason Flemyng and the award winning Danny Boyle horror 28 Days Later.  
Hayley Nebauer, Costume
Hayley has worked on costumes for some of the world’s most revered filmmakers including Steven Speilberg for Munich, for Ghostrider starring Nicholas Cage and for Elizabeth: The Golden Age which stars Cate Blanchett and won an Oscar for Best Achievement in Costume Design.  Hayley was appointed Costume Designer on the promo for the Edwardian fantasy feature film Where Love Reigns, working alongside Oscar-winning cinematographer Jack Cardiff, Production Designers Terry Ackland-Snow and Tony Noble, Director David Ness and Executive Producer Martin Scorsese.
Hayley has designed several feature films including Rise of the Footsoldier and the feature film Doghouse.
